Resurrection Day and Easter - WMSCOG(Christ Ahnshanghong and God the Mother)

One of the most important Christian festivals is Easter.
It’s a day that is honored by nearly all of contemporary Christianity and is used to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Chris.
However, not so many know that Easter is not based on the Bible.
It originated from a pagan festival which celebrated a goddess of spring and fertility in Northern Europe.

The English word Easter, which parallels the German word Ostern, is of uncertain origin. One view, expounded by the Venerable Bede in the 8th century, was that it derived from Eostre, or Eostrae, the Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring and fertility.

The date of Eater is also not based on the Bible. You know, the sacred calendar is used in the Bible. But the date of Easter is not calculated using the sacred calendar.

The Resurrection Day of the New Testament is the fulfillment of the Day of Firstfruits of the Old Testament. Please see this page for the calculation of the Day of the Resurrection.

Is it acceptable to celebrate Easter? Easter is a mere man-made festival.
Those who follow man-made festivals or teachings worship God in vain.

In the eyes of God, it’s illegal to follow man-made rules (Matthew 7:21-23.)
Instead, we should observe the law of God such as the Passover, the Sabbath and the seven feasts in threes times.

The World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG), founded by Christ Ahnsahnghong, does not keep man-made festivals such as Sunday service, Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving day.

Jesus established the Passover of the New Covenant and was crucified on the next day: the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

And He was resurrected on “the next day of the first Sabbath of the Feast of Unleavened Bread.” If you want to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus, you should keep the Resurrection Day, not Easter.

Today, only the World Mission Society Church of God observes the feasts of the New Covenant by following the teachings of Jesus Christ.
